• When the baby can sit up unassisted, 6 to 8 months. Before then, posing options are limited. Sitting babies tend to be more alert and engaging.
• When the child can stand or walk but not run, 10 to14 months. When babies can stand, even just by holding onto furniture, they are bright-eyed and excited, yet still manageable because they aren’t too mobile yet.
